Creating fun, family friendly events in Edmonton & area

Goodbye 2017 - Hello 2018

2017 was a fantastic year. My youngest went into school full time in September and I was able to experience what it was like to be able to work for more than 3 hours at a time broken up throughout the day. Those half days are the worst. If you are going through that hold on it gets better!

We had new events like the Play Day for St. Albert Early Years Coalition (which we will be doing again in 2018!), Lloyd Mall Kids Events, and more Santa's Arrivals than we could count. We also continued on with some of our favourites like the mall events across the city, Bonnie Doon Centre Workshops, and Cars & Coffee at The Marketplace at Callingwood. We helped raise money for the Fire Fighters Burn Treatment Society at Cornfest and continue to work with Positively Princess'd to help bring joy to sick kids.

2017 was also the start of Alberta Mamas - a collective blog we started to showcase our amazing province - which has gained momentum these past few months and I can't wait to keep working on that with this group of amazing women. I haven't been posting here as much since starting Alberta Mamas so make sure you follow us there (www.albertamamas.com) as well to see great posts about parenting, things to do across the province, and more. We are also pretty fond of giveaways over there so make sure to check in every once in a while.

2018 will bring some new and exciting events for Box Social Event Planning. We are excited to announce that Box Social will be the Food Stage coordinator for the Edmonton Home and Garden Show in March as well as MCing (is that a word? Spell check says no but I am going with it) the cooking stage. We would love to hear your favourite local restaurants so we can get them out to the stage to do a demo! We will also be starting new kids programs at Northgate Centre and Londonderry Mall in 2018 for you Northsiders that I have been neglecting!

Thank you to everyone that continues to come out to the events we plan. I am truly grateful to everyone that takes the time to come out and enjoy the events as well as the amazing local businesses that come out as guests. It is because of you that this crazy idea I had for a business 5 years ago has worked!

Have a safe and Merry Christmas and I will see you in 2018!
